Abstract

Although the theory of belief revision has been studied extensively, there has not been a great deal of emphasis put on the implementation of belief revision systems. In a recent paper, two of the authors presented a new consistency-based approach to belief revision, and it was argued that the approach was well suited for implementation [3,2]. In order to test this claim, we implemented the system as a simple java applet. In this paper, we will present a partial sketch of the approach to revision, and we will walk through the simple algorithm used to implement it. Although the system could still be improved in terms of efficiency, we found that the approach to belief revision under consideration was, in fact, well suited for implementation.
