Abstract

A coaxial-fed monopole antenna coupled by dual dielectric resonators is presented. The optimal wide bandwidth can be obtained up to 1160MHz (33.4%) by adjusting a suitable distance between DRA. The effect on the size of ground plane is investigated. We can find that if the ground size is over 90mm square, the antenna bandwidth is stable and approaches 800MHz. Additionally, radiation patterns are analyzed to be an electric monopole antenna mounted on the finite ground plane, and the antenna gain is about 4.5dBi at 3.55GHz.
