Abstract

Coadsorption formulas of various kinds of particles with mutual interaction on a lattice were derived by the Bethe—Guggenheim method. The typical three-step adsorption of homologs of long-chain alkyl sulfonates on alumina was mainly discussed from the point of the nearest-neighbor interaction among particles. In the second region the energy of pair formation may be evaluated around 1.1 kT/CH 2 group in a linear lattice model and about 0.9 kT in the third region, respectively.
