Abstract
For its high potential in reducing energy penalty of power plant, the biphasic solvents have attracted more attentions. In this paper, 3 kinds of physical-chemical biphasic solvents with different concentration were screened, the cyclic capacity and the volume of separated aqueous were tested. Compared with MEA and BDA, DETA is an optimal choice as main absorbent for biphasic solvents due to the high cyclic capacity and low CO2 rich phase volume ratio. Then the phase separation process and matters distribution were further studied, amines and CO2 rich in one phase and physical solvent in another phase. The concentration of physical solvent and amines affect a lot, in order to minimize the energy penalty, the CO2 rich phase volume ratio and cyclic capacity should be considered together.
