Abstract
The reactions of Co n − clusters with acetylene find a magic species Co 12 C 12 − which exhibits a highly symmetric cage structure and unique chemical bonding. We name it as metallo-carbospherene and propose it as an ideal candidate for hydrogen storage materials.
