Abstract

The paper considers changes in the magnetic and catalytic properties of Co- Ni- Zn ferrites by drawing up plans Scheffe’s plans. Three-component ferrites were obtained using coprecipitation and glow dischage treatment. It was found that the saturation magnetization decreases for Ni- Zn ferrites with increasing Zn content, high values for the entire series of Co- Zn, Co-Ni ferrites are observed. The study of catalytic activity in relation to the decomposition reaction of 4-nitrophenol showed excellent results for all compositions. The effect of the mutual influence of the content of different cations on the photocatalytic properties is clearly traced. Ferrites containing one cation in the composition have lower photocatalytic activity. Using UV-spectroscopy, the mechanism of 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) degradation was established.
