Abstract

Sisal fibers (SF) were used as carbon source for their long and uniform multiporous structure. The composite Co/Co2N/N/C catalysts by pre-activation SF porous carbon (SPC) and cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPc) were prepared by high-temperature pyrolysis and precise control of the composite proportion of SPC and CoPc. The catalyst treated with a composite proportion of SPC and CoPc of 1 to 4 (SPC@CoPc-1-4) exhibited high Eonset potential of 1.04 V, high stability of 90.50 %, and slightly lower E1/2 of 5 mV than Pt/C (20 wt%) catalyst. Considering the performance and price of catalysts in practical application, these composite catalysts combining biomass carbon materials and phthalocyanine series will be provide a valuable reference for non-precious metal oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalysts.
