Abstract

The development in the last decade of new agents for the treatment of Metastatic Kidney Cancer has improved the quality of life and the survival of these patients. New target therapies (TKI), Immune-Checkpoint Inhibitors (ICI) and new combinations of these molecules, in addition to synergies, have changed the possibilities of first-line treatments. A better understanding of the biology of each tumor and its microenvironment, will allow us to select patients who benefit from different treatments. Genetic advances and molecular characterization have provided an important prognostic value; nonetheless, we need biomarkers which enable us to individualize treatments and develop new therapeutic lines.
