Abstract
The presented study is a comparison between CMUT technology and PZT technology for elastography applications. Objective is to develop a CMUT probe prototype to realize Shear Wave Map (SWM) with the commercially available Fibroscan®. CMUT technology shows very promising results. Limitations of the technology are discussed and several ways to overcome these limitations are proposed in order to make this technology competitive.
