Abstract

Validity of the so-called t - t ’- J - J ’ model and its physical parameters are examined for the hole-doped Cu-oxide superconductors by using the cluster model approach. The theoretical results are compared with experimental data in the various oxides. A role of apical oxygen in the Cu-oxides is also studied by calculating the electronic states as functions of the energy level of the apical oxygen.
