Abstract

The problem of food security does not only cover food availability, but also the disparity in the prices of food commodities between provinces in Indonesia. The data used was obtained from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center consisting of 6 commodities Medium Rice I, Chicken Meat, Beef, Chicken, Onion and Red Chili. The analytical method used was cluster analysis using hierarchical clustering and Self Organizing Maps (SOM). The grouping results are 3 groups, in which the provinces of Papua, West Papua and Maluku are in one group with the prices of rice, chicken, eggs, shallots and chilies which tend to be higher than other groups.
