Abstract

Reinitiation of clozapine was found to be among the safest and most effective treatment options for patients with schizophrenia who had discontinued use of clozapine, according to a national registry study. The results contradicted researchers' hypothesis that former users of clozapine should avoid resuming use based on limited efficacy or lack of tolerability. Results were published online Jan. 8 in The British Journal of Psychiatry.
