Abstract

The recent trends in deploying multimedia systems, such as education, telemedicine, military and space endeavors is to deliver a smooth and uninterruptable video along with audio is a challenging task nowadays. The operators started using standard servers in the cloud. The internet based computing which provides more on-demand computing resources over the internet. Video Transcoding the method adapted to view the content in different devices are suitable to the end user. Delay in downloading across different devices is one of the most concerning issues faced by the busy people. Due to the global traffic in network, the demand for downloading the video content from cloud with minimum delay is increasing nowadays. Hence the scheduling algorithm is adapted in video transcoding to reduce delay and it plays a vital role in cloud computing since it process large amount of data. However the existing scheduling algorithms for video transcoding such as FCFs, Job scheduling, Task scheduling reduces delay but still it is to be reduced. This paper proposes a scheduling algorithm that reduces existing delay time while downloading a video content from cloud server and it can be viewed across different heterogeneous devices.
