Abstract
Pictures have been taken by means of a counter controlled cloud chamber on electronic showers produced in lead plates 1, 3 and 4 cm thick. The angular distribution of tracks has been compared with the calculations ofRoberg andNordheim and ofFranchetti andGiovaknozzi. The distribution of showers as a function of the number of electrons has been used to check the results given byJanossy andMessel and byArley.
