Abstract
Closing of the First International Congress on Complementary and Alternative Treatments in Cancer
Highlights
A standing ovation of some 1200 people bidding farewell to the speakers was the closing act of the first International Conference on Complementary and Alternative Treatments in Cancer
The conference was held on May 14 and 15, 2005, in the auditorium of the Madrid Palace of Congress and Exhibitions in Spain
The conclusion was resounding: each year the number of people who die of cancer increases and the pharmaceutical industry periodically puts out unrepresentative information, with the media’s involvement or ignorance, it is evident that orthodox cancer treatments such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery have failed
