Abstract

Closed-loop control of a double-circuit-rotor slip energy recovery drive (SERD) system is investigated, and different types of controllers are proposed and their performance is compared. The synchronously rotating reference frame is used to model the double-circuit-rotor SERD system. A linearized model is then generated. This work permits to derive the transfer functions for the system and then to design efficient closed-loop controllers. Moreover, the ability of the fuzzy logic controller is investigated too, and it was compared with the already designed linear controllers.
