In this issue of Neuron, Xie etal.1 highlight a role of cholecystokinin (CCK) neurons in the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN) central clock for tracking the onset of circadian activities, adapting circadian rhythms to long photoperiods, and regulating circadian phase resetting.
