ISBN-10: 0323341829, ISBN-13: 978-0323341820, $99.00. ![Graphic][1] This book, entitled Lower Lid and Face: Multispecialty Approach , is the January 2015 Clinics in Plastic Surgery's coverage on the topic, edited by Dr Babak Azizzadeh (Associate Clinical Professor of Head and Neck Surgery, UCLA) and Dr Guy G. Massry (Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology, USC). It features contributing authors from the fields of plastic surgery, head and neck surgery, and ophthalmology. Published by Elsevier, there are 14 chapters covering a range of topics relating to lower eyelids and midface rejuvenation, from general concepts to newer classifications to revisits of existing techniques, including fat grafts and implants, as well as a couple of chapters on complications. Since this is a compilation from different authors, it was a challenging task for the editors to ensure that the topics are covered in depth and that different authors' writing styles and illustrations are conforming as best as is feasible. The opening chapter, on “Contemporary Thoughts on Lower Eyelid/Midface Aging,” covers 17 pages and provides an excellent general review on this topic. I was reminded of some basic etiological factors that are possibly associated with midface aging, including the use of tobacco and alcohol and endocrinological factors.
