Abstract

SUMMARYA clinicopathological study of 40 children with hepatosplenic schistosomiasis showed the disease to be common in Kaduna, Northern Nigeria. The disease occurred predominantly in males (5: 7: 1), and was characterized by chronic ill health, oedema, hepatic fibrosis and glomerulopathy which was predominantly proliferative.
