Abstract

Background: The chance of survival from breast cancer has improved due to early detection and better treatment. Better surgical techniques have contributed to improved quality of life in breast cancer survivor patients. Improved life expectancy after breast cancer treatment and routine use of contralateral breast mammography has led to increased incidence of bilateral breast cancers.The aim of this study is to describe the clinicopathological profile of patients with bilateral breast cancer and to assess the survival outcome of these patients.
