Abstract
11507 Background: Consenting female PBCP submitted to quadrantectomy + radiotherapy followed by hormonal manipulation (HT) were treated with parenteral i.m. TPR depot-formulation. Methods: In the case of mixed chemotherapy (CT) +HT adjuvant program, TPR-HT was started after a wash out period from CT of ≥ 6–8 weeks from the last CT dose: HT was preceeded by a complete clinico-lab & imaging evaluation, in order to exclude residual or progressing neoplasia. Initial HT for 3 months was strictly followed with lab investigations of plasma and serum levels of TPR, 17 s-estradiol (E2) and CBC + routine biochemicals. Chromatographic seranalysis defined TPR levels with the original method developed in our research laboratory (ICACT 2007; XVIII: 329): quantification was obtained with a calibration curve prepared from control sera spiked with increasing amounts of commercially available TPR for clinical daily use. Results: Preliminary results of 10 pts and 98 determinations, including pretreatment controls and at lea...
