Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of prenatal sandplay in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Methods A total of 86 cases of GDM pregnant women received from March 2017 to March 2018 were selected and divided into the study group and the conventional group by random number table method, with 43 cases in each group. The conventional group practiced routine prenatal education and guidance, while the study group carried out sandplay. The Hamilton anxiety self-scale (HAMA) and the Hamilton depression self-scale (HAMD) were used to evaluate the psychological status of the pregnant women before and after the intervention, and the pregnancy outcomes of the two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference in HAMA and HAMD scores between the two groups before the nursing(P>0.05), and the study group was significantly lower than the conventional group after intervention (P<0.05). The natural delivery rate of the study group was 63.92%, the abnormal delivery rate was 1.45%, and the conventional group was 40.35% and 7.48%, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusions Carrying out sandplay intervention in the prenatal period of GDM mothers can help alleviate the bad mood of mothers, effectively prevent and reduce the occurrence of abnormal childbirth, and ensure the safety of mothers and infants.
