Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of early enteral nutrition support in patients with severe cerebral hemorrhage. Methods A total of 70 patients with severe cerebral hemorrhage in the Jinshan Branch of Shanghai Six People’s Hospital from February 2015 to July 2018 were randomly divided into the study group and the control group, with 35 cases in each group. The study group was given parenteral nutrition and enteral nutrition support after operation. The control group received parenteral nutrition alone in the early postoperative period. After 1 week, homogenized nasal feeding was added according to the actual situation of the patients. The nutritional status, immune status and adverse raections were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in albumin (ALB), hemoglobin (Hb), CD3+ , CD4+ /CD8+ between the two groups on the day after operation (P>0.05). The levels of ALB, Hb, CD3+ , CD4+ /CD8+ in the study group decreased less than those in the control group 14 days after operation (P<0.05). The incidence of postoperative abdominal distension and diarrhea in patients with severe cerebral hemorrhage in the study group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions The application of enteral nutrition on the basis of early parenteral nutrition can significantly improve the prognosis of patients with severe cerebral hemorrhage.
