Abstract
Objective To study the efficacy and side effects of YiYu Decoction plus maprotiline in the treatment of depressive neurosis. Methods All included patients were randomly assigned into treatment group (treated by Yiyu Decoction plus maprotiline) and control group (treated by maprotiline only). The therapeutic effects and side effects were evaluated by HAMD, HAMA and TESS scale at 1, 2, 4, and 6 weeks before and after treatment. Results The recovery rate of the treatment group was 63.6%, higher than 45.5% in the control group. But there was no significant difference between the two groups (x2=0.825, P＞0.05). The effective rate of the treatment group (81.8%) was close to that of the control group (77.3%). Condusion YiYu decoction is effective in treating depression with little side effect.
