Abstract
[Objective] To investigate the clinical significance of P-selectin(CD62P)and platelet associated complement-1(PAC-1)in patients with progressive cerebral infarction.[Methods] The levels of CD62P and PAC-1 in 85 cases of acute cerebral infarction(cerebral infarction group)and 40 healthy controls(control group)were detected by flow cytometry. The relationships between CD62P,PAC-1 and NIHSS scales in cerebral infarction group were analyzed.[Results] The levels of CD62P and PAC-1 in cerebral infarction group were significantly higher than those in the control group. The levels of CD62P and PAC-1 in cerebral infarction group were positively correlated with their NIHSS(Spearman rs=0.403,P<0.01 ; Spearman rs=0.377,P<0.01,respectively).[Conclusions] The platelet activation is involved in the pathogenesis of acute cerebral infarction. The levels of CD62P and PAC-1 can be used to evaluate the severity of acute cerebral infarction.
