Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical effect and feasibity of umbilical cord stump treatment in neonatal by cesarean section,Methods 600 normal neonates born by cesarean section without umbilical hernia were randomly divided into two groups.The first-time cutting for all the groups was made at the valve core with the near end 1 mm and far end 1 cm from the navel chakra.Two groups of newborns after the shower were disinfected the umbilical cord the end with 75% alcohol,and the shower once a day.The observation group after shower does no longer nursing intervention.The control group disinfecting umbilical plexus and surrounding skin after the shower routine with 75% alcohol covering the sterile umbilical stick.Then we observed the umbilical blood oozing,secretion and the time of the wound surface dried and healed.Results There are no umbilical inflammation in two groups; The number of umbilical plexus ooze blood in the observation group is less than those in control group.The difference was statistically significant (P< 0.05);The residual time and the healing time of the umbilical cord in the observation group were shorter than in control group.The difference were statistically significant (P< 0.05).Conclusion Nursing without Intervention,with lower possibility of umbilical blood oozing,less umbilical secretion,shorter time for the healing of wound surface,few nursing quantity is a good nursing methods of umbilical cord residual end.
