Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of peripelvic cyst endo-decortication by flexible ureterscope with Holium laser.Methods A retrospective review of 11 cases of peripelvic cyst was done from January,2011 to October,2012.The 11 patients were including 4 cases of single peripelvic cyst and 7 cases of complex or multiple peripelvic cyst (mean 4.8 cm in diameter),male 6 and female 5,average age 54 years old.All patients had undergone endo-decortication by flexible ureterscope.With general anesthesia,Olympus electronic flexible ureterscope (Fr8.5/9.9) accessed pelvis retrogradely and decorticated peripelvic cyst with 200μm Holium laser to drainage the cyst to pelvis.Double J stent was placed at the end of procedure.Results All operations were successful without severe complications.The mean operating time was 20 min.(13-27 min.).In 3-24 month follow-up,8 patients' peripelvic cyst undetectable in ultrasound or CT scan,diminished in 3 patients and no relapse.Conclusions The endo-decortication of peripelvic cyst by flexible ureterscope with Holium laser could be effective,minimal invasive and safe.
