Abstract

The author reflects on the career development potential for clinical research nurses in Great Britain, which was the main topic at the Scottish Research Nurse and Co-ordinators Network's (SRNCN) annual conference in Dundee, Scotland. The author says that the field has become a career option for nurses from being an isolated profession. They add that nursing networks have provided career development opportunities. University of Dundee nursing professor Julie Taylor urged nurses at the conference to participate in scholarly activities.
