Clinical relevance validation of patient-specific anatomical models for surgical training powered by medical imaging

Abstract

Medical imaging represents the set of techniques and processes, used to non-invasively produce a visualisation of the internal aspect of the human body. This data serve clinicians as a diagnosis tool, and guide the decision-making process for a multitude of treatments and provide useful information for biomedical engineers to design and optimise medical devices, for increased patient’s safety.
