Abstract

Upon completion of this chapter, the reader will be able to describe the process of clinical reasoning in occupational therapy practice, identify six aspects of clinical reasoning in occupational therapy, and three influences on clinical reasoning, and describe how these aspects of and influences on clinical reasoning can be applied in different stages of the occupational therapy process. This chapter will also present a framework to support the development of clinical reasoning skills in novice occupational therapists.
