Abstract
The strength of this monograph is the over 700 illustrations, reproduced by photoprocessing, derived from representative clinical cases collected by the author, a general radiologist. The monograph is prepared for the benefit of general diagnostic radiologists and residents in radiology. The author's call to the reader to focus on illustrations and legends emphasizes the atlas-type quality of the monograph, which is dedicated to the memory of John Westgate Hope, MD, whose little (infants and children) patients were afflicted with quite different types of diseases than are adult patients—little people are not miniature adults. References are well selected but are not subindexed or otherwise referred to in the commentaries. The author lists under most topics principle clinical manifestations, relevant radiological examinations, and radiologic signs.
