Abstract
The authors describe an uncommon case of a huge perinephric abscess with a gas-fluid level occupying the upper left abdomen. A rational sequence of radiological diagnostic methods such as plain film, ultrasound, CT, and combined retrograde urogram with contrast filling of percutaneous drainage led to correct management.
