Abstract

The graduate training programs in clinical psychology are the primary ones which produce our future generations of clinical psychologists. It is difficult, however, to discuss university training programs in clinical psychology without considering the larger picture of graduate training in psychology. On the one hand the general pattern and setting of graduate education in psychology affects the atmosphere and certain of the specifics of the clinical training program; on the other hand the acceptance by departments of psychology has influenced the broader pattern of graduate education in psychology.
