Abstract

Ceylon Medical Journal (CMJ) is a peer-reviewed, open access journal published quarterly by the Sri Lanka Medical Association in the last week of March, June, September and December each year. The mission of the CMJ is to promote the science and art of medicine and betterment of public health. The Journal publishes original papers and commentaries which have relevance to medicine and allied sciences. The CMJ is committed to maintaining and conforming to the editorial and ethical standards recommended by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors.

Conflict of interests

Please download and complete a copy of the disclosure form. The form should be signed by all authors. The corresponding author must insert within the submitted manuscript a summary statement under the heading ‘‘Conflicts of Interest’’ which describes. Latter authors’ conflicts of interest, sources of support for the work including sponsor names and whether the authors had access to the study data. Authors of a study sponsored by a funder with a proprietary or financial interest in the outcome should include a statement, such as ‘‘I had full access to all of the data in this study and I take complete responsibility for the integrity of the data and the accuracy of the data analysis.’’
