Abstract

SummaryThe use of intracytoplasmic spermatozoa injection (ICSI) to produce equine embryos has significantly increased over the past decade, leading to the creation of laboratories specific for ICSI and related in vitro fertilisation (IVF) techniques. However, the commitment, resources and skills necessary for developing a viable IVF laboratory can be underestimated or underappreciated. The purpose of this article is to share the difficulties our clinic encountered when developing an IVF laboratory.
