Abstract
This text tackles the development of clinical pathways, an important development in providing quality healthcare in the past decade. Its practical approach introduces the concept of pathways, explains their use, and then provides examples using a generic format. It contains approximately 40 examples of generic clinical pathways for both medical-surgical patients and critical care patients. The pathways use a real-life collaborative model. The book includes sample teaching records to help nurses understand how clinical pathways and teaching records can be used together in clinical management.
