Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical effect on Zusanli acupoint massage combined with early feeding to promote postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery of the aged gastrointestinal patients. Methods A total of 100 gastrointestinal surgery patients over 60 years old hospitalized were collected continuously from September 2016 to December 2017.The patients were divided into control group and observation group (50 cases each) by the method of complete random grouping. The control group received conventional nursing, but Zusanli acupoint massage and early sham feeding measures were conducted to observation group based on the conventional nursing.Afterwards, statistical analysis was conducted to the gastrointestinal function recovery index, appetite, abdominal distention degree, postoperative complication and nursing satisfaction of patients in both groups. Results The intestinal sound recovery time, first pass gas time, first defecation time, feeding time and hospital stay of patients in observation group were significantly shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05). The ratios of appetite good and neutral(42.0% and 32.0% )were significantly higher than those of the control group (24.0% and 20.0%)(P<0.05). The ratio that was poor was 26.0%, which was significantly lower than that of the control group(56.0%)(P<0.05). The ratios without abdominal distention or mild were 54.0% and 34.0%, which were significantly higher than those of the control group (40.0% and 22.0%)(P<0.05). The ratios of mild and serious abdominal distention were 12.0% and 0, which were significantly lower than those of the control group(26.0% and 12.0%)(P<0.05). The postoperative complication occurrence rate was 18.0%, which was significantly lower than that of the control group (46.0%)(P<0.05). The nursing complication was 98.0%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group(78.0%)(P<0.05). Conclusions The clinical effect on Zusanli acupoint massage combined with early feeding to promote postoperative gastrointestinal function recovery of the aged gastrointestinal patients is fine, which is worth having clinical promotion.
