Abstract
Objective To observe the efficacy of vitrectomy combined with internal limiting membrane peeling for the treatment of high myopia macular retinoschisis. Methods Forty-two eyes of 36 patients were treated by vitrectomy combined with internal limiting membrane peeling and intravitreal tamponade of gas , silicone oil or balanced salt solution. All patients were followed up for 1 year.The efficacy was observed. Results The difference in the thickness of the macular area, the visual acuity and visual function related to the quality of life were statistically significant between preoperative and postoperative(P<0.05). The postoperative visual acuity of 3 kinds of intravitreal tamponade were improved.The differences were statistically significant among them (P<0.05). Conclusion The treatment of high myopia macular retinoschisis by vitrectomy combined with retinal internal limiting membrane peeling and intravitreal tamponade is effective.
