Abstract
Objective To discuss the pathogenesis and treatment of intraoperative spontaneous hyphema in senile patients with cataract.Methods We retrospectively analyzed 167 senile patients with cataract in the last five years in our hospital.In which the occasion and prognosis of 4 cases of (81 ～ 90)years old with spontaneous hyphema in cataract extraction surgery were analysed.Results All patients underwent cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation with little hemorrhage.There was no secondary hemorrhage after operation.Conclusion The senile patients can be accomplished small incision cataract surgery successfully with good body condition.The hemorrhage can be controlled with viscoelastic substance.The prognosis is good.
