Abstract

Objective To investigate the analgesic effect of oral administration of celecoxib capsules on patients with nasal endoscopic surgery.Methods One hundred patients with endoscopic sinus surgery were randomly divided into two groups,each group has 50 patients.Patients in the experiment group were given celecoxib capsules (200 mg every time) after surgery,2 times a day; Patients in the control group were not given celecoxib.Pain intensity were evaluated by visual analogue scale (VAS)at 6,12,24 and 48 hours after operation respectively.Nausea,vomiting,dizziness,drowsiness,skin rashes and other common adverse effects were observed.Results The VAS in the experimental group were lower than that in the control group at the time 6,12,24 and 48 hours after surgery(P <0.05),there was statistically significant difference(P <0.05).In common adverse reactions,there was not statistically significant difference (P > 0.05).Conclusions The analgesic effect of oral administration of celecoxib capsules on patients underwent nasal endoscopic surgery is satisfied.It is a safe,effective,economical,convenient method for analgesia.
