Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical features of young patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI).Methods The clinical datas of 270 cases of AMI patients were collected.Including of age,gender,mental tension,history of hypertension,history of smoking,history of diabetes mellitus,cardiovascular family history,blood biochemical,coronary artery disease,complications and prognosis.Results There were 120 cases in the youth group and 150 cases in elderly group.The inc:idence of young male patients with AMI was more than that of the elderly group(84.17%,55.33%,P < 0.01) ;The proportion of mental tension (58.3 %),smoking rate (95.8%)and cardiovascular family history(87.5%)were higher than those of elderly group(36.7%,80.0%,58.7%),and hypertension,hyperlipidemia and diabetes incidence was significantly lower than the elderly group (P < 0.01) ; Triglyceride,low density lipoprotein in youth group,was higher than those of the elderly group,and blood glucose levels was lower than those of the elderly group (P < 0.01) ; Normal coronary artery in young group was 6.7%,single branch lesion was 69.2%,was more than that of elderly group,and double branch lesions,three lesions was less than those of elderly group (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01) ; The incidence of arrhythmia,heart failure and the fatality rate in the youth group were lower than those of the elderly group (P <0.01).Conclusions Youth male with high incidence of AMI,mental stress,smoking history,cardiovascular family history are prone AMI,has more single-vessel disease,fewer complications,and better prognosis.
