Abstract

Gingival pigmentation, which is caused by the deposition of melanin pigment, may not be a medical problem but is still a primary esthetic concern for many people. Esthetic gingival depigmentation performed in such patients leads to excellent results. The platelet concentrate, which is often addressed as a windfall in the regenerative therapy in periodontology, accelerates wound healing by excellent neovascularisation. It also promotes fast cicatricle tissue remodeling. This case report highlights the effectiveness of Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) membrane in the depigmentation procedure. Keywords: Gingival Depigmentation, Esthetics, Platelet-rich fibrin.
