Abstract

Introduction: Laparoscopic myomectomy is the current surgical approach of choice for myomas but it can result in excessive blood loss, prolonged operating time, and postoperative complications. To address these issues, adjunctive techniques like the uterine artery occlusion before myomectomy or the intramyometrial injection of dilute epinephrine have been developed; to date, there is no robust evidence regarding the superiority of one technique over the other or over the traditional laparoscopic myomectomy.
