Abstract

Objective To analyze the clinical effects of different operation methods on acute intestinal obstruction in elderly patients with colorectal cancer. Methods From July 2010 to August 2015, 86 cases of elderly patients with acute intestinal obstruction caused by colorectal cancer underwent surgery were selected. By random grouping principle, 50 patients with one-stage resection and anastomasis were in the experiment group, and 36 patients with other surgical treatment were in the control group. The index of gastrointestinal function, incidence of postoperative complications and postoperative survival situation were compared between the two groups. Results The time of flatus, the first time of bowel sounds and gastrointestinal recovery time in the experiment group were significantly shorter than those in the control group, the differences were significant(P 0.05). Conclusions One-stage resection and anastomasis can effectively improve the effectiveness of the treatment of patients with colorectal cancer induced acute intestinal obstruction, and improve patient survival in clinics.
