Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical effect of radial extracorporeal shock wave therapy in the treatment of postoperative delayed union of open tibial fractures. Methods A total of 41 patients with delayed union after external fixator fixation of open tibial fractures treatment by extracorporeal shock wave from January 2014 to February 2018 were selected. All the patients were followed up after treatment and the effect of treatment was observed. Results All the patients were followed up for 9 months, including 37 cases of fracture healing, and the cure rate was 90.2%. Conclusions Radial extracorporeal shock wave therapy is efficient in the treatment of postoperative delayed union of open tibial fractures, the effect is satisfactory and the complications are few.
