Introduction

Dental caries is one of the most widespread noncommunicable disease. It can be defined as a localized dysbiosis or disease, resulting from bacterial activity in the biofilm and characterized by a dissolution of the dental structure by acids formed from the fermentation of dietary carbohydrates, especially sucrose.
