Abstract

Objective To provide reference for the diagnosis and treatment of immune diseases in the central nervous system of the flying personnel. Methods Retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 3 cases of pilots and review the relevant literature. Results In 3 cases, 1 was multiple sclerosis (MS), 1 was myasthenia gravis (MG), and 1 was acute inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (AIDP). The clinical characteristics of diseases featured unaware onset and incouspicuous symptoms and signs, so they were not easy to be found. Medical identification results: the MG and MS cases were not qualified, but the AIDP case. Conclusions The flying personnel with the diseases should be carefully supervised and misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis should be avoided. The medical identification should be comprehensively done according to the severity of disease, type of aircraft, flying duty, flying experience, personal intention, army′s opinion and related standards.
