Clinical Characteristics of Breast Cancer in Young Women ≤40 Years Old, Minia, Egypt.

  • Worldwide, Breast cancer (BC) is the most frequent cancer among women, impacting over 1.5 million women each year (WHO, 2018). there was about 2.1 million newly diagnosed female BC cases in 2018, accounting for almost 1 in 4 cancer cases among women BC was the most common cancer in women worldwide, contributing 25.4% of the total number of new cases diagnosed in 2018

  • It was found that the age of studied females ranged between 25-40 years, and about 28% of BC patient lies in age group less or equal 30 years old

  • It was found that 67% of BC studied females were complaining from lump, and after resection about 13% had an experience of recurrence .Bilateral presentation had occurred only in eight females and metastatic presentation was shown in 21% females

Introduction

In US, of all diagnosed invasive BC cases about 2% under 50 years old represent 149 female have invasive breast cancer (Siegel et al, 2020).
