Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical manifestation and laboratory examination of children's infectious mononucleosis (IM).Methods The clinical data of 112 children with infectious mononucleosis from August 2011 to August 2013 in the third affiliated hospital of Zhengzhou university were retrospectively analyzed.Results Among all of the IM children,the incidence of preschool children was the most(78%),eyelid edema was one of the more common clinical manifestation in IM early stage,and the incidence was higher than that of spleen edema and rash.Patients with special-shaped lymphocyte ≥ 10% accounting for only 56.6%.Conclusions The clinical manifestation and laboratory examination performance in pediatric IM is complex,the clinical manifestations in ratio some cases are atypical,eyelid edema and other typical performance of IM have diagnostic value; the value of atypical lymphocytes ratio in the diagnosis of IM,especially infants IM,should be further discussed.
