Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to describe a typical clinical course and to provide acoustic, aerodynamic, auditory-perceptual, and stroboscopic assessment of a patient with bilateral mid-membranous vocal fold lesions. Conclusions: The patient presented to clinic with stroboscopic evidence of phonotraumatic true vocal fold tissue changes. Her acoustic, aerodynamic, and perceptual voice evaluation also revealed values outside of the normal range. She demonstrated good ability to improve the sound and feel of her voice in response to therapeutic probes, indicating she was a good candidate for behavioral voice therapy, thus behavioral treatment was recommended as a first approach.
